Beginning in Chennai, the cultural gateway of Tamil Nadu, the tour flows through the temple towns  of Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram,  Thanjavur ,srirangam and Madurai, blends French elegance in Pondicherry, auroville, ventures into Kerala’s spice-scented forests of Thekkady, breathes the misty charm of Munnar’s tea gardens, drifts through the tranquil backwaters of Alleppey ,marari beach and concludes in the historic port city of Cochin.  

Travelers will wander through the cobblestone charm of French quarters, breathe the crisp air of high-altitude tea plantations, and witness the raw beauty of wildlife in its natural habitat. It is a soulful odyssey designed to showcase the region’s diverse spirit, blending the grandeur of lost empires with the quiet, therapeutic stillness of India’s most iconic natural landscapes.

Day 1: Arrival in Chennai | Cultural & Coastal City Experience

Upon arrival in Chennai, guests are warmly received and transferred to the hotel for check. visit to Kapaleeshwarar Temple, a fine example of classic Dravidian architecture dedicated to Lord Shiva, then to the Government Museum, one of the oldest museums in India, housing rare bronze sculptures, archaeological findings, later explore Fort St. George, the first British fortress in India, which houses St. Mary’s Church and a museum showcasing colonial artefacts, paintings and documents. The day concludes at Marina Beach, where guests can enjoy a leisurely walk along the vast shoreline, witness local life, street food culture and a scenic sunset over the Bay of Bengal.

Day 2: Chennai to Mahabalipuram via Kanchipuram

After breakfast, proceed to Mahabalipuram with a culturally enriching VIA Kanchipuram, revered as one of India’s seven sacred cities. Visit the Kamakshi Amman Temple, a major Shakti shrine with spiritual significance, followed by the Kailasanathar Temple, famous for its sandstone carvings and Pallava-era architecture. Continue to the Ekambareswarar Temple, representing the earth element among the Pancha Bhoota temples, known for its massive temple complex and sacred mango tree. Later, arrive at Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore the iconic Shore Temple overlooking the sea, the monolithic Pancha Rathas, the massive bas-relief Arjuna’s Penance, and the gravity-defying Krishna’s Butter Ball, each narrating stories from ancient Hindu mythology through stone artistry.

Day 3: Mahabalipuram to Pondicherry

After breakfast, drive to Pondicherry, a tranquil coastal town blending Indian traditions with French colonial elegance. Followed by the peaceful Sri Aurobindo Ashram, known for meditation and spiritual philosophy. Continue sightseeing with the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, renowned for its Gothic architecture and stained glass panels, the French War Memorial, and the lush Botanical Garden showcasing exotic plant species. Later, unwind at Serenity Beach and Paradise Beach, known for golden sands and calm waters.

Day 4: Pondicherry

This day Visit Auroville, an international township promoting unity and spiritual living,  later you may stroll through Pondicherry’s French Quarter, admire mustard-coloured colonial villas, visit art cafés, boutiques and bakeries, or relax at the beaches. The slow-paced atmosphere allows travellers to experience Pondicherry’s unique blend of spirituality, heritage and seaside charm. Day 5: Pondicherry to Thanjavur

After breakfast, depart for Thanjavur, the heart of Tamil culture and classical arts. Visit the majestic Brihadeeswarar Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by Raja Raja Chola I, celebrated for its towering vimana, massive Nandi statue. Later, explore the Thanjavur Palace, which houses royal residences, art galleries, weaponry, manuscripts and traditional artefacts that reflect the grandeur of the Maratha rulers.

Day 6: Thanjavur to Madurai

Proceed to Madurai, one of the oldest living cities in the world. Visit the legendary Meenakshi Amman Temple, an architectural marvel with towering gopurams adorned with thousands of colourful sculptures, serving as the spiritual and cultural centre of the city. Continue to the Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace, known for its Indo-Saracenic style, massive pillars and royal courtyards. Later, visit the Gandhi Memorial Museum, which chronicles India’s freedom struggle and Gandhiji’s life through photographs and exhibits.

Day 7: Madurai to Thekkady

After breakfast, drive to Thekkady, nestled in the Western Ghats. Visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, one of India’s finest protected reserves, and enjoy a scenic boat ride on Periyar Lake, offering opportunities to spot elephants, deer and birdlife along the forested shores. Later, explore aromatic Spice Plantations, learning about cardamom, pepper, cinnamon and clove cultivation. Visit Elephant Junction for interactive elephant experiences such as feeding and bathing, conducted under trained supervision.

Day 8: Thekady to Munnar

Day 9: Munnar

Explore Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and sweeping grassland landscapes. Visit Mattupetty Dam, offering serene lake views, and Echo Point, known for its natural echo phenomenon. Walk through lush Tea Gardens, visit the Tata Tea Museum to learn about tea processing, and relax at Blossom International Park. Stop at Photo Point for panoramic views of misty hills.

Day 10:  Munnar to Alleppey

Travel to Alleppey, often called the “Venice of the East.” Experience the charm of Kerala’s backwaters with views of palm-lined canals, paddy fields and village life. Visit Alappuzha Beach, known for its old pier and lighthouse, and the Mullakkal Rajarajeswari Temple, a prominent spiritual centre in the town. The serene environment offers relaxation and cultural immersion.

Day 11: Alleppy to Cochin

After breakfast, drive to Cochin, Kerala’s historic port city. Upon arrival, relax at the hotel later Visit the historic Mattancherry Palace, famous for its Kerala murals, the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church (India’s oldest European church), and Jew Town, lined with antique shops and the historic Paradesi Synagogue. These sites showcase Cochin’s multicultural past shaped by Arab traders, European colonisers and local communities.

Day 12: Cochin Drop

After breakfast, your memorable South India tour comes to a close in Cochin. Based on your onward flight or train schedule, you will be transferred to Cochin International Airport or the railway station for your departure, carrying wonderful memories of this enriching journey
